Statin intolerance: The cost to the patient
Statin intolerance, most commonly evident as muscle symptoms, is an important issue for clinicians. A new report shows that in high risk patients, the risk of a recurrent heart attack or stroke is at least 50% higher than in patients who adhere to statin therapy.
